Returning to Work
You can return to work in 10 days or less depending on the level of physical activity required. You should avoid any bending, straining, or lifting during this time as well.
Swelling
After your surgery you will be quite swollen and bruised for the next few days, when you return home you will be told to keep your head elevated for 2 to 3 days to help the swelling go down.
Showering
You will be able to shower on the second or third day after your surgery.
Recovery
The recovery time for a forehead lift varies from patient to patient. You will have to keep your head elevated for at least 2 to 3 days to help minimize swelling. You can resume most activities between 10 days to 2 weeks following your surgery. You should hold off on resuming more strenuous activities though.
Discomfort
You may lose sensation in your eyelid or lose eyelid function temporarily while in the healing process. If you have any pain, Dr. Luria may prescribe you medication for relief.
Results
Your results should be long lasting, depending on your current age and heredity. Gravity and time do eventually takes it toll, it is at this time you may wish to come in for another procedure with Dr. Luria.
